Welcome to the Big Easy!
Welcome to the Big Easy, where there is never a dull moment. Fortunately, you get to experience New Orleans during Mardi Gras. We hope you spend a few days after the race to explore and enjoy everything the city has to offer. The Finish line of the race is located in Audubon Park at the Newman Bandstand, next to the Golf Course Pro Shop. on Magazine Street. The Audubon Zoo is located directly acrossthe street from the Finish Line.
This part of New Orleans is also referred to as The Garden District / Uptown. Magazine Street runs all the way to downtown New Orleans, and is a great street to explore, especially the few miles near the finish line. The street is filled with little shops, art galleries, bed and breakfasts, yoga studios, and boutique clothing stores.

Getting from New Orleans to Baton Rouge
The best way to get from the New Orleans Airport to the race start is by renting a car from one of the many car rental companies around the airport. However, we understand that there are several solo runners that will be running without a crew and have no use for a rental car. If this is you, send us an email.
