The Rouge-Orleans has partnered with several hotels located within walking distance of the race start. Check back soon and we’ll have all the details.Please keep in mind that the race takes place on MARDI GRAS WEEKEND. The Krewe os Spanish Town starts on Saturday at Noon (12:00PM) in downtown Baton Rouge. If you are starting in Wave 4 (1:00PM Saturday) there WILL BE TRAFFIC, so plan accordingly. Rouge-Orleans Social & Packet Pick-up
Come join us on Thursday, February 12th for food, drinks, and packet pickup at the Rouge-Orleans Social located at Lucy’s Surf Bar from 6pm-9pm. Food and drinks will be available for purchase, as will Official Rouge-Orleans Merchandise. The social is not mandatory, unless you want to have a good time. This is a great opportunity to meet and connect with runners from around the country and world. If you plan on picking up your packet at the social, please make sure that every team member is present.
The Rouge-Orleans Informational Meeting will be held on Friday, February 13th from 2:00pm-3:00pm inside the USS KIDD Museum. The meeting is Mandatory for all solo runners and the Team Captains. Space is limited, so we ask that only the team captains be present. If a team captain can’t make the meeting, please send a substitute. If you can’t make the meeting, than please send us an email at TheRougeOrleans@gmail.com
Kick-Off Party & Packet Pick-up
The Kick-Off party will take place from 4:00pm – 8:00pm in the green space next to the USS KIDD. There will be live music, food, and drinks for event participants. Official race merchandise and last second running needs will be for sale.
Packet Pick-up will be open from 4:00pm – 8:00pm at the Kick-Off Party. Every team member needs to be present to pick up the Race Packet. Packet pick-up is also available at Thursday night at the Social.
